Heavy-duty H beam base, tubular steel side frames and fork lift staves are standard equipment on the Shortstop® Loading System. Available in gasoline, diesel and electric power. Optional CS-125 mini cement silo automates cement delivery to batch. The silo is modular and can be added as your business grows!
Simple push/pull control for conveyor belt operation. On board water meter insures consistent concrete mixtures. Conveyor belt covered with guards for operator protection.
Direct coupled hydraulic motor powers the troughing conveyor. No “V” belts, gear boxes or roller chains to maintain.
Cement bag breaker is standard on the Shortstop® Loading System. Simply drop bagged cement on the knife and cement falls thru screen. The bag breaker pivots out of the way for loading the aggregate hopper.

Hopper | The unit will feature an aggregate hopper fabricated from ¼” steel electrically welded at all joints. The hopper will have a volume of approximately (1.5) cubic yards. An adjustable dam gate to regulate material discharge speed will be provided. Welded graduations marks inside the hopper of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1& 1-1/4 cubic yards will be provided for calibrating recipes. |
Frame | The main frame of the Shortstop Loading System is fabricated from heavy duty structural steel H beam & steel tubing, rigidly reinforced and electrically welded at all joints. Two each 4” X 8” X ¼” rectangular tube forklift staves will be provided to easily move the unit with a standard forklift. The main H frame structure will be elevated approximately 6” on four corners for easy cleaning under the unit. Each elevated leg will be equipped with a heavy-duty ½” A-36 plate with mounting hole. |
Operators Platform | A platform shall be provided at the rear of the unit complete with two each ladder assemblies for ingress/egress from either side of the machine. The platform will be rigidly welded to the main frame and feature self cleaning open floor grate. Hand railing with a removable chain section shall be provided. |
Conveyor | The conveyor will be a high capacity troughing style roller type conveyor. The main conveyor frame shall be structural steel channel, equipped with replaceable trough type rollers and standard idler rollers. An 18” wide (220 lb, 2 ply 5/16” thick rubber belt) with snag free lacing designed specifically for aggregate service shall be provided. A hydraulic motor directly coupled to the drive pulley will power the conveyor belt. The conveyor will feature a lagged head pulley and self cleaning winged tail pulley. A spring loaded belt scraper will be provided with replaceable UMHW scraper blade. The conveyor will be equipped with removable sheet metal guarding top & bottom. |
Water Meter | The conveyor will be a high capacity troughing style roller type conveyor. Cement Bag Breaker | A cement bag breaker will be provided, accessible from the platform on the rear of the unit. The bag breaker will feature a knife to easily split cement bags along with a screen to prevent bag particles from getting into the mix. The bag breaker will pivot away from aggregate hopper for loading. |
Engine & Power System | The Shortstop Loading System is completely self-contained, powered by a Honda 13 HP gasoline engine and integral hydraulic system. A gear type hydraulic pump is directly coupled to the Honda engine and features a hydraulic reservoir with return filter and filler/breather/strainer assembly. The Honda engine will be equipped with a cyclone type air cleaner for added protection in dusty environment. The hydraulic system will include a spool type on/off valve for conveyor, pressure relief valve and hydraulic hoses rated at 2,500 psi operating pressure. All hoses will be supported in vibration proof clamp assemblies to prevent rubbing on frame work. |
Controls | A single control panel will be conveniently located on the frame near the conveyor discharge and engine recoil. The controls shall consist of conveyor (on/off), water meter and water valve. All controls will be marked for function. |
Shipping | Unit ships completely assembled via open flat deck trailer (LTL load). Shipment via common carrier (van body), we recommend additional crating for protection. Export crating available, POR. |

The SA Batcher offers automated delivery of cement to the batch using our exclusive time based metering system. This reduces the labor of “breaking cement bags”. CEMENT SILOS | |
CS-125 | CS-125 Cement silo, 10,000 lb capacity with 6” diameter metering screw conveyor. Self contained 13 HP gasoline engine with electric start, hydraulic powered screw conveyor with manual controls. Silo is designed to be filled with super sacs suspended overhead with a forklift or front end loader. The Silo has an approximate loading height of 9’ and auger has a discharge height of 5’. The CS-125 series silos are designed to be modular additions to the Shortstop® Loading System. |
OECS125-1 | Time Based Metering Control A time based metering controller complete with remote pendant shall be provided . The timer is 12VDC powered and features key pad, LED readout and is NEMA IV rated for outdoors. The control is time based and features calibration instructions and related excel spreadsheet for recipe generation. The pendant control features a master on/off switch, cycle start and cycle stop push buttons. The control box is NEMA IV rated and equipped with a magnetic base. The optional hydraulic vibrator is strongly recommend for time based batching system to insure consistent material flow. |
OECS125-2 | Operator Platform An operator platform and ladder assembly shall be provided. The complete unit shall bolt to the main frame and be removable for transport. The ladder will be fabricated from 1-1/4” square tubing with non skid perforated ladder rungs. The platform shall be a non skid removable grate. Hand railing will be provided on two sides of the ladder. |
OECS125-3 | Hydraulic Vibrator Hydraulic vibrator, one each hydraulic powered vibrator attached to a structural steel channel iron. The unit will be attached to the cone section on the silo near the discharge. The vibrator will activate simultaneously with the auger.
